The Score Prize 2007 - art competition:
Competition Rules - The Creative Task:
To produce an original work on the theme of sea, fish and fishing.
Work may be painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, collage
or textile. Probably the only media we cannot handle is anything
electronic based.
Selection
The work submitted was displayed in Peterhead' Harvest Church
Hall, Backgate. Members of the public were be able to buy a voting
paper and select their three favourite pieces in each of the
two categories. The total number of votes cast for each exhibit
counted. The winning entries were those with the highest
number of votes.
Prizes
Prizes were awarded in two categories, Under 16 years old
and Open age
First prize £150, Second prize £100 and Third Prize
£50 in each category
The winners were announced at the Fish Fest Dinner
being held on 12th October 2007.
Conditions
1) Each entry must be accompanied by completed entry form Entrants
under 16 must have the form signed by a parent or guardian.
2) Entry forms must be submitted to the Town Coordinator's office Marischal St. Peterhead by 27th September.
3) The organisers reserve the right to reject any entry.
4) Artwork can be available for sale whilst in the exhibition.
The organisers will take a commission of 20% of the sale price.
The Artist will fix the sale price.
5) Work must be collected from the exhibition venue by the
exhibitor.
6) Label all entries on the back or the base with your name,
address and other contact details and the title of the work.
