A former Victorian bankhouse set in the quiet village of
Old Deer approximately 9 miles west of Peterhead and 13
miles south of Fraserburgh. The village nestles in the
heart of Buchan farmland close to the river Ugie, but is
noted for much more than its quiet picturesque beauty.
Its past contains a wealth of religious and domestic
history dating back to St Columba of the 6th century.

The Old Bankhouse offers an ideal retreat from the
stress and strain of city life. As if caught in time,
there are delightful original architectural features at
every turn. And yet it is styled with contemporary flair
and equipped with all the facilities you could want for
a wonderful, relaxing time in the heart of Scotland.
A full and varied menu offering traditional fare, is a
feature of this popular retreat, where guests return
time and again.
Outside the garden stretches towards the rolling fields
of the Buchan with the historic Aden Country Park a
stones throw away.
There are three bedrooms available to guests at The Old
Bank House, all of which offer:
-
en-suite facilities
-
views of the gardens
-
tea and coffee-making facilities
-
access to colour TV
-
washing facilities available upon
request
-
The Old Bank House achieved Visit
Scotland 3 Star Award and is featured in the
Scotland Where to Stay and The Pride of Scotland, to
name but a few.
The Old Bank House
is a non-smoking House.
